The 1st stage is the
production of the document called
THE MINERALS SITE ALLOCATIONS
AGGREGATES
DEVELOPMENT PLAN DOCUMENT
ISSUES AND OPTIONS CONSULTATION STAGE |

Within this Plan Document, Tarmac has
proposed extending their Sand and Gravel Extraction up to the banks
of the River Derwent, south of Borrowash. They also propose to cross
Station Road (B5010) to extract minerals around the Elvaston
Castle Country Park.

Borrowash Action Group have made
representations to Derbyshire County Council opposing the Tarmac
proposal |

Derbyshire County Council will
consider all proposals and objection and publish a Preferred Options
document in the spring of 2007. |

After taking account of
any representations receive on the Preferred Options document
Derbyshire County Council will then prepare a final draft for
submission to the Secretary of State in spring 2008. |
