What do we do?

Borrowbrook Home Link offers a regular visiting service to those in the community who may feel isolated. Our volunteers are police checked for your security.

If you are a carer and would appreciate an hour or two’s respite, we may be able to help you.

In 2004 we received “The Mayor’s Award” for “Services to the Community”.

Regular Activities

Borrowbrook Home Link organises a monthly community lunch scheme where 70 folk enjoy a roast dinner in the company of others living near by. From time to time senior students from Ockbrook School join us to share conversation.

Borrowbrook Home Link invites you to join us at our monthly “Tea Dances” held during the winter months. It’s a great way to keep fit in a pleasant way, as well as socialize and share tea and cake with friends.

Borrowbrook Home Link also invites you to call in for a coffee and a chat with friends at one of our coffee mornings.

In addition to the above events, Borrowbrook Home Link arranges outings to places such as Skegness, Rowsley, and  Chatsworth.

Could you help?

Borrowbrook Home Link is constantly in need of volunteers to assist us in our work. If you have an hour or two to spare each week and would like to help, we would love to hear from you
