SCOTLAND

BBC LOCAL RADIO: BBC Radio Scotland provides a national service on FM frequencies 92-95FM & 810 MW.  The Gaelic service BBC Radio nan Gaidheal broadcasts on 103.5 - 105FM.

103.1 CENTRAL FM serves the Forth Valley with a 24-hour service of 'hits and memories music, local news, sport and information' from studios at 201, High Street, Falkirk.  In it's broadcast radius are smaller towns of Alva & Kincardine, plus major cities, Falkirk, Stirling and Alloa and around Clackmannanshire.  It's broadcasts started 1st June 1990 - the station is now part of Radio Investments Ltd - a company that has had roots in commercial radio since it's inception in 1973.  The area has a population of around 190,000 people - Central FM targets the 25-54 year old adult segment therefore incorporating a family appeal to it's sound and a pleasantly refreshing mix of classic and current songs from the late 1960s to the late 1990's plus the latest and forthcoming hits.
